  1. Is NUHS CHAMP chatbot a paid service? 
    CHAMP is completely free-of-charge.

  2. Why am I receiving monthly questionnaires from the CHAMP chatbot on WhatsApp?

    This is an optional questionnaire that the CHAMP chatbot sends to users. This function allows the chatbot to tailor nudges and reminders based on your health information.

  3. Can I submit a photo of my blood pressure monitor via the CHAMP chatbot to automatically record my blood pressure readings?

    Submitting blood pressure readings through an image file is currently not supported. Please follow this format when you submit your blood pressure readings via the chatbot - systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure/heart rate e.g. 120/80/70 or systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure e.g. 120/80.

  4. I recently changed my mobile number. How do I update my number registered with CHAMP?

    You can update your new WhatsApp number by filling in this form. By submitting the form again with your new WhatsApp number, we will deactivate your old number and link your account to the new number.

  5. How can I opt out of CHAMP?

    To opt out of CHAMP, simply send “opt out” to the CHAMP chatbot. The chatbot will respond with a few options for you to select the reason for opting out of CHAMP. Select the reason from the list provided. If you have indicated “Others”, please provide further details via the chatbot. If you will like to opt back into CHAMP in the future, click here and type “champ yes” into the CHAMP chatbot.

  6. Why am I getting weekly reminders to submit my blood pressure?

    To help the CHAMP chatbot better understand your condition, you will receive weekly reminders to submit your BP for the first 30 days or until you have logged 30 readings, whichever comes first.

  7. I am not sure if I am enrolled in CHAMP, how can I find out?

    Click this link to launch the CHAMP chatbot. Submit your blood pressure reading in the following format - systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure/heart rate e.g. 120/80/70 or systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure e.g. 120/80.  

    If you are enrolled to the programme, the chatbot will reply with this message - “Thank you for your input.”

  12. I am a caregiver for someone who does not have a phone. Can I use my number to submit their blood pressure readings in the CHAMP chatbot? 

    Yes, this is possible but you must meet the following requirements:

    • Your phone number must not already be enrolled in CHAMP previously, as each phone number can only be linked to one account.
    • When enrolling in CHAMP, you must use the SingPass of the person you are caring for, along with your (the caregiver’s) phone number. Once enrolled, your phone number will be linked to the patient’s medical records.
Functions of the NUHS CHAMP Chatbot
  1. How do I submit my blood pressure readings through the CHAMP chatbot?

    Please submit your blood pressure readings in this format - systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure/heart rate e.g. 120/80/70 or systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure e.g. 120/80.​

  2. How do I retrieve my blood pressure readings via the CHAMP chatbot?

    To access your blood pressure history, simply send “bp history” to the chatbot. The chatbot will display your 10 most recent blood pressure readings.​

  3. Am I able to view and download all my blood pressure readings?
  4. Yes, you may access your full blood pressure records by sending “bp history” to the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot and to download the full records, simply follow-up with “Yes”.​

  5. I have more questions about how to use CHAMP, is there one place where I can find a complete guide?

NUHS CHAMP Chatbot Troubleshooting
  1. I have enrolled in CHAMP, but I have not received a welcome message from the CHAMP chatbot.

    Please ensure that the WhatsApp version installed in your device is updated to the latest version. In addition, you must accept the latest WhatsApp’s terms and privacy policy.  After confirming that you have done the necessary, please submit a blood pressure reading via the chatbot to ensure that the chatbot is functioning as intended.

  2. Why am I not receiving notifications from the CHAMP chatbot?
    Ensure that your WhatsApp notifications are enabled in your device’s settings. Additionally, ensure that the CHAMP chatbot conversation is not muted.
