Greener Procurement

2025/01/03

Driving greener procurement

NUHS has implemented a framework to incorporate environmental sustainability criteria into the procurement decision-making process. Staff are trained to apply these new criteria when evaluating suppliers and products. For vendors and suppliers, we continually foster partnerships to minimize packaging, promote material reuse, and track emissions throughout the supply chain.

Partnerships and collaboration

(second from right) Cherie Leong, Manager, AH Office of Campus Planning, and her MBA team from NUS Business School collaborated with NUHS on a carbon toolkit for vendors to estimate and calculate emissions.

No organisation can tackle healthcare sustainability alone. Partnerships enable us to maximise our impact by aligning priorities, sharing best practices and creating economies of scale.
