Peer and Befriending Support
Health Peers
- Provide peer support to residents with chronic conditions and/or at-risk of chronic conditions
- Set health goals with residents
- Guide residents on how to make sensible changes on diet, nutrition and physical activity to lead a healthier lifestyle
Requirements
Minimum age: 16
Commitment: Bi-weekly commitment over a six-month period.
Training will be provided prior to deployment.
Event-based Roles
Health Guides
- Raise awareness about preventive health through community outreach events
- Provide administrative support such as registration, height and weight measurement and crowd control for health screening events
Requirements

Commitment: Ad-hoc
Training will be provided prior to deployment.
Role Players
- Test new initiatives and provide feedback via focus group sessions to improve community care services for residents
Requirements
Minimum age: 16
Commitment: Ad-hoc
Craft Makers
- Create crafts for residents and community engagements
- Conduct craft activities for residents to raise awareness on healthy living via art
