Jurong Medical Centre (JMC) was officially opened in 2006 in a pilot project by the Ministry of Health to bring specialist healthcare services to the community. It offers a convenient alternative for patients who require specialist care or minor surgery, so that they no longer need to travel to a hospital.
A one-stop medical care centre for the west, JMC offers a range of services including day surgery, outpatient specialist services and diagnostic services that includes an Endoscopy Centre where GPs can directly refer patients for endoscopy procedures. In addition, it offers a range of Allied Health services to cater to the diverse and complex needs of patients. It also provides supplementary diagnostic services and specialist services to general practitioners in its vicinity.
JMC complements the acute and step-down care services offered by NUHS.

The Endoscopy Centre at JMC is designed for a hassle-free experience. It offers preparation, surgical and discharge procedures on the same day with minimal delay. With direct access to our services, GPs can refer patients for endoscopy with just a phone call. No separate specialist consultation is required.
One day prior to the procedure, our nurse will call your patient to confirm the arrival time and to remind him or her of the pre-operative preparations. A day after the procedure, our nurse will follow up with the patient on the post endoscopy care. Discharge instructions will be reinforced so that the patient is aware of the appropriate follow-up care required.
GPs may refer patients directly for the following endoscopy services at JMC:

Making the medical centre safe for our patients and their loved ones is our priority. Therefore, there is a need to manage the use of motorised mobility devices on our premises, to prevent unnecessary accidents. We seek the understanding and cooperation of all users of mobility devices, to adhere to the centre's guidelines on their use.
PMAs refers to devices such as motorised wheelchairs, or mobility scooters (i.e. have three or more wheels, with a seat), which are designed to carry individuals who are unable to walk or have walking difficulties.
For our patients' safety, usage of PMAs is strictly limited to clinic outpatients. Please show consideration for others when riding your PMA around the centre.
* While PMA parking zones are under CCTV surveillance, our centre is not liable for theft of, loss of or damage to PMAs.
As a safety precaution, charging of PMAs within our premises is strictly not allowed.
Please refer to the table below for more information.Thank you for making Jurong Medical Centre a safe environment for our patients and staff.
PMAs are not Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs) or Power-Assisted Bicycles (PABs). PMDs are devices such as electric-scooters, kick-scooters, hoverboards. PABs are motorised bicycles. Riding of PMDs and PABs on hospital premises is strictly not allowed. Please carry or tow your PMDs or PABs whilst on hospital premises.
