Dr Wang is the Director of Urologic Oncology services at the National University Hospital. Her main areas of practice are urology diagnostics, minimally invasive surgery and cancer survivorship.
Dr Wang obtained her medical degree from the National University of Singapore and gained fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. She completed her Master of Medicine (Surgery) and received Specialist accreditation for Urology. She was awarded the College of Surgeons Gold medal as the best performing surgical trainee in the national Urology Specialist Exit Examination.
During her residency, Dr Wang served as Chief Resident. She was selected to be part of the Singapore Chief Residency Programme in 2018, which recognises the most prominent young clinicians in the country.
Upon successful completion of her urology training, she was appointed as Uro-oncology Surgical Fellow at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London from 2022 to 2024. The Royal Marsden is Europe’s largest comprehensive cancer centre. It is rated as one of the top three cancer centres in the world. At the Royal Marsden, Dr Wang trained in complex open, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries including radical nephrectomy, cystectomy, prostatectomy and pelvic exenteration.
Dr Wang's clinical and research interests are in cancer survivorship. She has won several grants for her research work, including the NUHS Junior Pitch for fund, ExxonMobil-NUS Research Fellowship for Clinicians and National University Seed Grant. For her work, she was awarded the National Outstanding Clinician Scientist Resident Award in 2019.
As an adjunct assistant professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Dr Wang is passionately involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education and is a recipient of the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence.
