Biosketch

Dr Tammy Lim graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2011 and was awarded the Nestle Book Prize for Paediatric Medicine and the Jane Prize for Paediatric Research. She obtained her Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) and was admitted into the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2014. She achieved her Specialist Accreditation for Paediatric Medicine in 2018.

Dr Lim currently practises at the Child Development Unit (CDU), Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children's Medical Institute (KTP-NUCMI), National University Hospital. Dr Lim is part of the Paediatric Feeding and Nutrition Clinic team, which sees children with feeding and swallowing problems.

Her special interests are in developmental and behavioural paediatrics and childhood feeding problems. She was awarded the NUH Learning Development Award in 2019 and MOH Health Manpower Development Plan Skills Attachment (Team) in 2020 for further overseas training in this area.
 
She is passionate about patient education. She is actively involved in the creation and curation of patient education material, and also the creative delivery of such information. She is currently involved in the development of an interactive IT platform and artificial intelligence-powered chatbot for this purpose.

She is active in undergraduate education and has won several awards including the Annual Teaching Excellence Award for Undergraduate Teaching – Great Teacher (Interactive Category) in 2015 and 2017, the Junior Doctor Teaching Award in 2017 and the Young Clinician Mentor Award in 2018. Over the years, she was involved in various quality improvement projects, of which her team won the Merit Award in NUHS Way in 2012 and the Recognition Award for Quality Improvement Project in 2013.

She is actively involved in research projects related to her areas of interest in child development and feeding. She was awarded the KTP-NUCMI Research seed grant for her research to improve dental outcomes in children with autism.
