Dr Swapna Thampi is currently a Senior Consultant in the Department of Anaesthesia, National University Hospital. She is also a Physician Faculty with the NUHS Anaesthesia Residency Programme and a Clinical Track Instructor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
Dr Swapna Thampi graduated and completed her Anaesthesia training from Trivandrum Medical College, India (Best postgraduate student award) and completed her MMED training from NUS, Singapore.She is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
Her clinical interests include Cardiac and Paediatric anaesthesia. Her research interests include OSA in children, use of videolaryngoscopes in airway management. She is also a MEPA instructor and enjoys teaching and simulation sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
