Dr Sim Tiong Beng is a Senior Consultant with both the Emergency Medicine Department of National Univeristy Hospital and Urgent Care Centre of Alexandra Hospital. He is the Chair of the M&M, Director of EM Geriatric Medicine and Core Faculty of the EM Residency programme. He is also an assistant professor with NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
He was awarded MOH HMDP in 2007 where he took up Observation Medicine fellowship at Clevenland Clinic, Ohio, USA from December 2006 to June 2007. In 2011, he was awarded Team AMDA in geriatric medicine where he did a two-week attachment with the RGP programme in Toronto and RVH, Montreal, Canada. He has also won undergraduate and postgraduate teaching excellence awards, along with special recognition award for role modeling.
Dr Sim has special interest in geriatric medicine, observation medicine and ultrasonograhphy, particularly echocardiography. He is also passionate in teaching and mentorship, believes in mutual learning and continuous medical education, and learning from other specialities.
Dr Sim would like to collaborate with like-minded healthcare workers who are passionate about geriatric medicine and care of the elderly, and observation medicine.
