Dr Rajeesh George is a Principal Resident Physician in the Division of Spine, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).
He graduated from St John's National Academy of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Degree (MBBS) in 2001 and received training in UK, specifically in the surgical field and was appointed as Membership of royal college of surgeons (MRCS) in 2006. He later went on to start his post graduate residency in orthopedic surgery in India at St John's National Academy of Health Sciences and graduated with Master of Surgery in Orthopedics Degree (M.S. Orthopedics) in 2010.
After further experience in orthopedic surgery in Singapore since 2013, he successfully completed AO Spine Asia Pacific Fellowship from Hong Kong in 2017. He was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh FRCS Ed (Trauma & Orthopedic) in 2017.
Dr. George’s primary interest is in spine surgery, including minimally invasive surgeries. His other interests include the education and research field. He has published in peer-reviewed journals in spine surgery and also has spearheaded the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) in spinal lumbar fusion. He is also actively involved in the education of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
