Adjunct Associate Professor Perry Lau is currently a Senior Consultant with the Division of Paediatric Nephrology at the Khoo Teck Puat-National University Children's Medical Institute, and Paediatric Kidney Transplantation Programme, National University Centre for Organ Transplantation, National University Hospital.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1998. He obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health of the United Kingdom (MRCPCH) in 2003 and is now a qualified paediatrician after completing his Advanced Specialist Training in June 2006.
During his training as a paediatrician, he has done rotations in the paediatric and neonatal departments at the National University Hospital, neonatal department of Kandang Kerbau Women and Children Hospital and one month training at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children of Edinburgh.
His clinical interest concerns children with renal disease, dialysis and renal transplantation. He has spent most of his advanced specialist training working in the Division of Paediatric Nephrology(Kidney), Dialysis and Renal Transplantation of University Children's Medical Institute.
As part of his paediatric nephrology training, he has presented papers at Annual Symposium on Paediatric Dialysis at Tampa, USA in 2002 and Asian Congress Paediatric Nephrology at Beijing in 2005. He has contributed in writing a chapter on "Neurogenic Bladder" in a book titled 'Practical Paediatric Nephrology: An Update of Current Practices' published in 2005.
