Dr Lee Kai Yin graduated from the National University of Singapore. She joined the General Surgery Residency Programme after completion of housemanship, and obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Masters of Medicine (Surgery) during her training years.
After completing her Residency training in 2021, she obtained her Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was accredited as a Specialist in the General Surgery by the Specialist Accreditation Board. Dr Lee has a sub-specialty interest in minimally invasive techniques for treatment in colon and rectal cancers.
In addition to clinical work, Dr Lee has a keen interest in undergraduate and postgraduate education. She serves as a Clinical Lecturer for the Department of Surgery, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine since 2018, and is part of the core faculty for the Surgery-In-General (SIG) programme for NUHS. Dr Lee is also actively involved in research to improve colorectal cancer screening and optimal treatment options for colorectal cancers.
