Biosketch

Prof. Ronald Lee Chi Hang is a Senior Consultant cardiologist at the National University Heart Centre Singapore (NUHCS), and a Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He practices general cardiology, interventional cardiology, and sleep medicine. His research interest is on sleep and heart health.

Prof. Lee graduated MBBS, and subsequently obtained a doctorate from University of Hong Kong. Prof. Lee's honours include the Singapore Cardiac Society Young Investigator Award (2010), National Medical Excellence Award (2011), Clinician Scientist Award (2015), and Senior Clinician Scientist Award (2018).

Prof. Lee, as a clinician scientist, has authored or co-authored over 250 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. His research is supported by grants from the National Medical Research Council, Ministry of Education, Singapore Heart Foundation and medical device industries. Having performed over 3000 percutaneous coronary intervention procedures, including live demonstrations in international conferences, Prof. Lee is a senior member of the NUHCS's interventional cardiology service. He has been a core faculty of the Cardiology Senior Residency Programme since 2016. He has supervised over 10 PhD students, research fellows, undergraduate and postgraduate students from Singapore and overseas. He is the Singapore Chapter President of the American College of Cardiology.
