Biosketch

Dr Khin Saw Myint graduated from the Institute of Medicine, Yangon, Myanmar, in 1993. She obtained her postgraduate qualification in the United Kingdom in 2001 and became a member and subsequently a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh. She pursued advanced specialty training in General Medicine for three years in Singapore and obtained Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2006. She completed a fellowship in Acute Geriatrics and Non-cancer Palliative Care at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia, in 2006-2007.

Besides her clinical post as a Senior Consultant in the Division of Advanced Internal Medicine at National University Hospital since 2014, she is also an Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. She is a core faculty member in both the NUHS Internal Medicine Residency Program and the NUHS Advanced Internal Medicine Senior Residency Program. She also serves as the Clinical Lead for the Division of Advanced Internal Medicine in Advance Care Planning. She strongly believes that every patient should receive treatment with due respect, dignity and professionalism.
