Dr Khin Saw Myint graduated from the Institute of Medicine (1), Yangon, Myanmar, in 1993. She obtained her postgraduate qualification in the United Kingdom in 2001 and became a member and subsequently a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh. She pursued advanced specialty training in General Medicine for three years in Singapore and obtained ‘Fellowship of Academy of Medicine, Singapore’, in 2006. She has done a fellowship in Acute Geriatrics and Non-cancer Palliative Care at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia, in 2006-2007.
Besides her clinical post as a Senior Consultant in the Division of Advanced Internal Medicine in National University Hospital since 2014, she is also an Assistant Professor in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. She is a core faculty in both NUHS Internal Medicine Residency Program and NUHS Advanced Internal Medicine Senior Residency Program. She also serves as a Clinical Lead for the Division of Advanced Internal Medicine in Advance Care Planning. She strongly believes that every patient should receive treatment with due respect, dignity and professionalism.
