Dr Arjun Bolem is an Associate Consultant in the Division of Neurosurgery, Department of Surgery, National University Hospital. He completed his MBBS at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (YLLSoM-NUS) in 2013 and was a part of the coveted Dean’s Dinner in his final year.
He was accepted into the Neurosurgical residency program at National University Health System (NUHS) in 2016, and concurrently, into the Clinician-Scientist residency in 2020. During his residency, he also embarked on and completed a Masters in Clinical Investigation (MCI) at NUS.
He subsequently completed both residency programs in 2023 and graduated with the highest score in the exit examination for Neurosurgery. (Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in Surgical Neurology).
He completed a 1 year fellowship at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, United Kingdom under the supervision of Mr Richard Mannion, Mr Adel Helmy, Mr Mathew Guilfoyle, Mr Rodney Laing, Mr Jibin Francis, and Mr Mark Kotter. He divided his time there between Spine and Skull Base surgery, spending six months in each field.
He has a General Neurosurgical practice with particular interests in skull base tumours, pituitary lesions, spine tumours, neuro-oncology, and degenerative spine conditions.
