Severe Sepsis

Severe Sepsis refers to a severe infection involving any part of the body and is one of the commonest reasons for admission into the intensive care unit. It may lead to failure of several organs and is a common cause of death.

Severe sepsis is commonly treated with antibiotics and support of the multi-organ failure.
