What is Interstitial Pneumonias (Other Idiopathic)?

Interstitial Pneumonias (Other Idiopathic) are part of a broad, heterogeneous group of interstitial lung diseases that encompasses more than 200 acute or chronic diseases with varying degrees of inflammation or fibrosis.

There are several similar conditions in which the lungs are affected by degeneration, scarring and inflammation, often without a definite cause.
