Women who have just given birth are likely to go through a period of two to three weeks of baby blues. Adjustments to the new arrival, breastfeeding, and interrupted sleep are some of the woes every new mother will experience. Women can experience depression and anxiety during pregnancy and after delivery due to physical, biological and emotional adjustments during this period. However, most are able to cope after the initial adjustment period.
