Conferences, Seminars & Workshops, Our Healthcare Professionals
The International Allied Health Conference 2024 (IAHC 2024) made its debut in Singapore, where over 1,100 healthcare professionals and industry partners gathered at the Singapore EXPO from 1 to 2 November 2024 for this highly anticipated event.
Held in conjunction with the 3rd Singapore Allied Health Conference, the IAHC 2024 adopted the theme “Advancing Allied Health: Diverse in Calling, United in Purpose”, and featured over 92 international and local experts delivering insightful presentations across five concurrent symposia tracks, including Primary Care and Population Health, Leadership and Transformation, Community and Long-Term Care, Education, and Diagnostics. The event also featured over 90 presentations by the experts, more than 100 free papers and over 150 poster presentations on key topics in Allied Health, which were delivered across 14 tracks.
The main conference was officially launched by Guest-of-Honour Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for Health, along with allied health leaders from the National University Health System (NUHS), Singapore Health Services (SingHealth), National Healthcare Group (NHG), and the Global Allied Health Network (GAHN).
Over the two days conference, participants from more than 18 countries engaged in dynamic discussions during the conference's plenaries and breakout sessions. The event concluded with the announcement of 9 winners across 3 themes from the scientific competition.
Post-conference, delegates participated in various Masterclasses and workshops, while clinical visits were organised to healthcare facilities across Singapore’s three public healthcare clusters.
The IAHC 2024 also marked the first in-person summit of the GAHN, where over 20 Allied Health Leaders from across 9 countries gathered to build, strengthen, and renew collaborations within the global Allied Health leadership community. The initiative aims to unite Allied Health leaders worldwide to address pressing workforce challenges and opportunities, as well as develop a position paper underscoring the global contributions of Allied health professions. The network aspires to elevate the role of Allied Health professions in international health initiatives and engage key stakeholders, such as the World Health Organisation.
A big congratulations to all the winners of the scientific competition, and a heartfelt thank you to all speakers, sponsors, participants, organising committee and scientific committee for making IAHC 2024 a resounding success!
