A/Prof Raymond Ngo graduated in 1995 from the Trinity College Dublin, Ireland with 2nd class honours in Medicine. His internship was done in St James Hospital, Ireland. After completion of his National Service, he was accepted into the National Specialty Training programme for Otolarynogology. His degrees include the MRCS in General Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, the MMed and FAMS in Otolarynology with the Graduate Medical School, National University Singapore. He completed his Fellowship in Otology – Neurotology at the St Paul's Hospital & Vancouver General Hospital, Canada under Dr Brian Westerberg and Dr Neil Longridge.
A/Prof Ngo has a subspecialty practice in middle ear surgery for infections and hearing loss, cochlear implantation, lateral skull base surgery, facial nerve disorder and vestibular diagnosis and treatment.
He is an Associate Professor with the National University of Singapore, involved in the teaching of medical undergraduates. He is also the Postgraduate Director for the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, NUHS and supervises the continuous medical education for junior doctors. A/Prof Ngo also leads the NUHS Graduate Medical Education Committee Faculty Development Subcommittee. In addition, he is a member of the JCST Panel of Site Accreditors and a committee member of the Chapter of Otorhinolaryngology, College of Surgeons.
