Dr Edwin Yang graduated with an MD from Duke-NUS Medical School in 2016. Before medical school, he worked in the Health Regulation Group at the Ministry of Health from 2010-2012, working on healthcare regulations and enforcement . Recognised for his leadership in the medical school, he received the Duke-NUS 10th Anniversary Scholarship and the inaugural Academy of Medicine Medal in 2016.
Dr Yang completed his General Surgery training under the Singhealth cluster earning specialist status after FRCS examinations in August 2022. Since joining Ng Teng Fong General Hospital in December 2022 as an Associate Consultant specialising in colorectal surgery and benign hepatobiliary disorders, he has been actively involved in medical education as an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the undergraduate medical education in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
