Malignant Mesothelioma

The pleural cavity (the space surrounding the lungs) may sometimes be affected by a relatively rare form of tumour known as a Malignant Mesothelioma. Patients experience vague chest discomfort, and sometimes loss of weight, shortness of breath and a dry hacking cough.

Treatment varies depending on the stage of the disease.
