Biosketch

Prof Vincent Chong graduated from the University of Malaya in 1978. He trained in Diagnostic Radiology in the University Hospitals of the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur and the University of Nottingham. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiology (FRCR) in 1984, MBA (NUS) in 2002 and MHPE (Maastricht 2015). Dr Chong’s interest is in Head & Neck Imaging. He focuses on oncologic imaging with a primary interest in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). He is a recipient or three National Medical Research Council grants (principal investigator) for NPC research. He has published more than 120 articles, 15 book chapters, co-authored a book and edited a monograph on NPC. In recognition for his work, he was appointed a member of UICC Expert Panel (TNM Staging System) on Head and Neck Cancer (2002 to date). Dr Chong served as president of the International Cancer Imaging Society in 2011 and was elected emeritus fellow and gold medal recipient in 2016.
