Dr Sharon Teo is an accredited paediatric nephrologist and general paediatrician. She completed her undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in the University of Melbourne, Australia. She obtained her postgraduate qualifications from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), having completed her specialist training in both general paediatrics and nephrology at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s Hospital Australia.
She is currently a Consultant in the Division of Nephrology, Dialysis and Renal Transplantation of the Department of Paediatrics, and Paediatric Kidney Transplantation Programme, National University Centre for Organ Transplantation, National University Hospital. Her clinical scope involves looking after children with congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome and chronic kidney diseases including end stage kidney diseases. Her particular field of interest is paediatric dialysis including critical care dialysis, transplantation and working with adolescents with chronic kidney diseases. Her research interests are in quality improvement, including medication adherence, ethics and psychosocial impact of chronic kidney diseases.
