NCIS Oncology Grand Rounds - Recent Advances on the Management of Peritoneal Metastases
Peritoneal metatases may occur in almost all malignant tumours, but are most frequently diagnosed in patients with gastric, ovarian and colorectal cancer. Diagnosis and treatment of such peritoneal metastases remains challenging but has gained interest since the introduction of palliative (e.g. PIPAC) and curative (e.g. CRS-HIPEC) treatment options. In this lecture, recent advancements regarding peritoneal metastases from epidemiological, clinical and translational research and future perspectives will be addressed.
