About Us

The Centre for Innovation in Healthcare (CIH) forges partnerships with healthcare professionals, scientists, engineers, academics and industry partners to lead the adoption of innovations in health and healthcare delivery.

CIH also actively facilitates inter-disciplinary research, innovation, and enterprise across science, engineering and other disciplines and provides a one-stop ecosystem to test bed solutions including new devices, technologies and work processes, at scale.

Harnessing the most effective way of tackling innovation challenges, Impact Circle will work with healthcare professionals, scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to drive health and healthcare transformation in Singapore and beyond.


Centre Director

Prof Lawrence Ho


An avid innovator, Prof Ho won the President’s Technology Award, the highest honor bestowed on exceptional research scientists and engineers in Singapore for their excellent achievements in science and technology, in 2012. A proven clinician entrepreneur, he has co-founded two medical technology start-ups, Endomaster Pte Ltd, and Endofotonics Pte Ltd.

Tapping on his wealth of experience, Prof Ho plays a key role in engaging CIH’s stakeholders to translate ideas and innovation into better health, and healthcare delivery.

Prof Ho is also a Senior Consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology and has received the Distinguished Senior Clinician Award in 2017, which is a prestigious award given by MOH to recognize a person as a leading expert. In recognition of his contribution to NUS and NUHS, Prof Ho was also conferred the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) during the National Day Award 2017.
