At the Centre for Health Professionals Training (CHPT), our mission is to enhance the effectiveness of healthcare delivery through promoting continual professional skills development and evidence-based practices.
In the areas of Learning and Development, CHPT offers a diverse range of relevant programmes to address the rising complexities in patient care and to meet the present and future healthcare manpower training needs.
In the initial years, the centre will focus on the skill development and advancement of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in support of the Ministry of Health’s vision to shift care from Hospital to the Community. CHPT will seek to bridge the skill gaps and augment the capabilities of our AHPs through actively engaging our entities and partners in NUHS to understand the ground training needs and offer practical courseware for our healthcare professionals.
In line with our commitment to raise the standard of healthcare delivery in the public health sector, we conduct thorough needs-and-gaps analysis of existing training providers and infrastructure so as to develop and introduce strategic and competency-based programmes. Our courseware is developed in collaboration with domain experts, industry and institutions of higher learning.
