Singapore Millennium Foundation (SMF) 3rd Grant Call – For NUH PIs

Singapore Millennium Foundation (SMF) is extending the invitation to NUH PIs to apply for the 3rd grant call.



The areas of research which the SMF could consider supporting are provided in the table below:



Topics/ Areas of Research

Ageing/ Palliative Care


·         Cost-benefit analysis of palliative care

·         Identifying :

o    the gaps in palliative care at home, the community and the hospitals

o    the needs of the Community and the required structures for care at home

o    the gaps in the required number of healthcare workers required, training and structures required to enhance healthcare 


*The topics /areas of research indicated are NOT exhaustive, and PIs  can submit proposals so long as it falls within the areas


Funding Information

The maximum funding quantum for each project:

Maximum Duration

$250,000 per year

3 years



Application Criteria

The proposals in the above areas should preferably be in applied research, and must have direct relevance and are beneficial to Singapore. Please note that this call is only applicable to NUH researchers.

Please submit the following endorsed by HoD to NUHS Research Office by 8th Feb 2013 (Fri), 12noon.

·         Application Form and any supporting documents

·         Forward the Softcopy of the above to Grant_RO@nuhs.edu.sg
