Mr Tan Tee How

Mr Tan Tee How was appointed as Commissioner of Inland Revenue and Chief Executive Officer of Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore on 1 December 2014.
Mr Tan graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours, Class II Upper), National University of Singapore in 1983. In 1990, he was awarded a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard University.
Mr Tan has held various appointments, including Controller of Immigration in 1994 and Deputy Secretary (Services) in the then Ministry of Information and the Arts in 1995. He was appointed Principal Private Secretary to the Prime Minister in 1997 and was founding Chief Executive Officer of National Healthcare Group in 2000.
Mr Tan then served as Permanent Secretary (National Development) in 2004 and was appointed as Permanent Secretary (Home Affairs) in 2011.
He has served as President of the Singapore Scout Association since 2011, a member of the St Joseph’s Institution International Board since 2006 and a Non-resident Fellow of NUS Kent Ridge Hall since 2004.
