In 2005, he wrote a book on clinical dermatology dedicated to his late mentor Professor Chan Heng Leong - Dermatology Picture MCQs (2005). For his dedication, he has received multiple teaching awards. They include the inaugural University Medicine Cluster Chan Heng Leong Best Teacher Award for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Teaching in 2010, Best Tutor Award by NUS Medical Society in 2011 and the NUS Medicine Faculty Teaching Excellence Awards in 2012 and 2013.
